The county attorney has taken the Carverdale landfill to federal court seeking permanent closure. The county says it has never been allowed on the property to test.

Items 432 through 439 on the October 15 Harris County agenda accept $75 million in state flood grants. Spending on the federal Harvey money already in hand runs about 8 percent.
